K. Lakshmi, a woman from Vaasalatippa village in Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Konaseema district, was repatriated to India on Friday after being stranded in Muscat, Oman. According to V. Subba Rao, nodal officer of Konaseema Centre for Migration, Ms. Lakshmi was sent to Muscat in September 2025 to work as a housemaid, but was subjected to physical harassment at her workplace.
