Auto Driver Dies After Fall from Building in Enikepadu

K. Nagaraju, a 24-year-old auto driver, died on Saturday (May 9, 2026) at a hospital in Vijayawada after sustaining injuries from a fall from a building terrace in Enikepadu on May 3. He had been undergoing treatment since the incident, but his condition deteriorated over the week.

Nagaraju fell from the terrace of a building on Shivalayam Street while reportedly speaking on his mobile phone, police said. Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition.

The Patamata police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fall, including whether negligence or other factors were involved. No arrests have been made.
