AAP announced the expulsion of its Maur MLA Sukhveer Maiserkhana on Friday, labeling his public criticism of teacher shortages as anti‑party activity.
Maiserkhana had livestreamed his frustration, saying his children’s government school had no adequate staff and that several posts remained vacant despite repeated appeals to party officials.
AAP spokesperson said the party had received multiple complaints that the MLA had spread false rumours that could tarnish AAP’s image.
Opposition leader Bikram Singh Majithia attacked the government’s education narrative, calling it hollow and accusing AAP of misleading the public over teacher availability.
The expelled MLA vowed to continue raising issues, warning that he would not back down even if it meant legal action or jail.
