Panchaganga Express to Short-Terminate at Yeshwantpur for Three Days Due to Track Work

Train No. 16596 Karwar-KSR Bengaluru Panchaganga Express will be short-terminated at Yeshwantpur and remain cancelled between Yeshwantpur and KSR Bengaluru from July 31 to August 2, according to a Konkan Railway Corporation release. The South Western Railway ordered the change to carry out pre-non-interlocking and NI block work for yard remodelling at KSR Bengaluru Station.
The pairing service, Train No. 16595 KSR Bengaluru-Karwar Panchaganga Express, will short-originate from Yeshwantpur from August 1 to August 3 at its scheduled departure time, with partial cancellation between KSR Bengaluru and Yeshwantpur. Passengers are advised to adjust travel plans accordingly.
Separately, Train No. 16586 Murdeshwar-SMVT Bengaluru Express departing on July 16 and 17 will be diverted via Yeshwantpur-Hebbal and Banaswadi, skipping Bengaluru Cantonment. Train No. 16585 SMVT Bengaluru-Murdeshwar Express from July 17 to July 19 will follow a similar diversion via Banaswadi-Hebbal-Yesvantpur Junction, also bypassing Bengaluru Cantonment. The July 17 departure of Train No. 16586 will be rescheduled by 60 minutes from Murdeshwar.
The railway authorities issued advisories for affected services, and normal schedules are expected to resume after the completion of the remodelling work. The South Western Railway will monitor progress and issue updates if further adjustments are needed.
