Disha Patani is making her Hollywood debut in the supernatural action-thriller 'The Portal of Force,' which features Kevin Spacey, Tyrese Gibson, and Dolph Lundgren in pivotal roles. The film's trailer was released on Friday, unveiling the first look at the project, which launches the Statiguards vs Holiguards Saga, a new cinematic universe created by Lado Okhotnikov.
Patani plays Jessica, the daughter of rival leaders from two ancient opposing factions, the Statiguards and Holiguards, and is portrayed as 'The Chosen One' central to the outcome of their conflict. Directed by Kevin Spacey, the film marks his return to directing after more than two decades. The story centers on a secret war between two ancient forces, with humanity's fate hanging in the balance.
In a press statement, Patani described the project as a significant professional milestone, citing the experience of working with an international cast as transformative. She highlighted the universal nature of storytelling and the challenges of stepping into a global production. The film positions her as one of the first mainstream Indian actors to headline a Hollywood action franchise.
Spacey, Gibson, and Lundgren are credited as lead actors alongside Patani, with principal production completed in Europe. The film is scheduled for global release later this year. Patani is also set to appear in the Bollywood film 'Awarapan 2,' which is currently in production.
