The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has received a donation of 1,600 tonnes of dry fodder from two NGOs, Nehru Foundation and Srinivasa Seva Trust, which will be used to support the cows sheltered in Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshanasala in Tirupati. The fodder was transported from Jaggampeta in Kakinada district via 180 trucks.
The donation was formally received by TTD's Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, who appreciated the gesture and noted its significance for cow protection and dairy development.
The donated fodder will be supplied to the TTD's dairy farms in Tirupati, Tirumala, Palamaner, and Kamalayyagaripalle, which currently shelter 2,974 cows, bulls, and calves.
The TTD has expressed gratitude for the donation, which is expected to support the organization's efforts in cow protection and dairy development. The immediate next steps include the distribution of the fodder to the respective dairy farms.
