Bajaj Consumer Care's Q2 FY27 saw net profit jump 67% YoY to ₹70.2 crore, eclipsing the ₹42 crore in FY26. Revenue climbed 25.7% to ₹333 crore, while EBITDA rose 71% to ₹82 crore. The EBITDA margin widened to 24.7%, up from 18.1% a year earlier.
Domestic sales kept the momentum alive, with revenue rising over 30% in both Q2 and the first half of the year. Double‑digit unit volumes and price‑point packs were key growth drivers, pushing general trade growth into the mid‑twenties and organized trade into the high‑twenties. Rural demand outpaced urban, and quick‑commerce emerged as the fastest‑growing channel.
International operations outpaced the company average, with the rest of the world, Nepal, GCC and Africa markets posting strong gains. Bangladesh, despite a tougher environment, still grew in the teens. The broader international mix reinforced the company's global footprint.
Commodity price spikes weighed on inputs: light liquid paraffin remained pricey amid West Asian tensions, refined mustard oil saw a jump due to disrupted oilseed supplies, and copper climbed amid an anticipated El Niño‑driven slowdown. These cost pressures were offset by the improved margin.
Analysts note the margin expansion as a positive sign, but caution that commodity volatility could bite in Q3. The integrated campaign launched late in the quarter will aim to sustain the high unit volume trajectory, keeping FY27 on track for strong profitability.
