The Nilgiris recorded an overall pass percentage of 94.13% in the Class 12 examinations, the results of which were released on Friday. Out of a total of 87 schools, 20 of them recorded 100% pass percentage, according to the School Education Department.
A total of 6,299 students — 2,897 boys and 3,402 girls — appeared for the examinations, of which 5,929 students passed. The pass percentage among boys was 91.30%, while it was 96.53% among girls.
Out of 37 government schools, six recorded 100% pass percentage, while the overall pass percentage among government school students stood at 89.91.
The School Education Department will likely review the results to identify areas of improvement and implement measures to further enhance the pass percentage in future examinations. The department may also announce plans to felicitate the top-performing schools and students.
