Bharti Airtel will raise its postpaid tariffs by 3‑10% across all plans, effective Thursday, 28 October 2024, according to a company statement.
The company also rolled out a free international roaming credit of Rs 2,000 for one trip per SIM, adding Rs 50 to each plan’s monthly fee.
The new base tariff will now begin at Rs 499, up from the previous Rs 399 tier.
Earlier this year, Vodafone Idea increased its family pack prices by 7‑9%, signalling a broader industry shift toward higher‑value plans.
Centrum Institutional Research said the pricing environment has become more favourable and a 12‑15% tariff rise could materialise over the next four to five months, prompting regulators to review the changes at the telecom policy meeting on 15 November.
