The seven-day championship will feature multiple competition categories, with the finals set for August 2. Thyagraj Stadium will serve as the main venue for both matches and ceremonial events.
Gupta stated that Delhi's experience in hosting international sports events would ensure world-class infrastructure and arrangements for athletes and spectators. The government said details on ticketing, volunteer recruitment, and the match schedule will be released in the coming weeks.
Education and Sports Minister Ashish Sood said the tournament would advance Delhi's bid to become India's 'sports capital' and provide emerging Indian players a global platform. The court will resume hearing on Tuesday.
