At the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, Manish Narwal’s steady aim earned him a silver medal in the men's 10m air pistol SH1, clocking 233.7 points.
Narwal’s score edged him out of the top spot, as South Korea’s Jo Jeongdu shattered the Games record with 241.3. China’s Yang Chao took bronze with 213.6, while fellow Indian Rudransh Khandelwal finished seventh at 127.3.
This silver is Narwal’s second medal at the Games—he lifted bronze in 2023—and it marks the third Indian para shooter to secure an LA 2028 quota, following Mona Agarwal’s gold and Avani Lekhara’s silver on Monday. The quota places bolster India’s lineup for the 2028 Paralympics.
With the Asian Para Games over, the focus now shifts to national trials and the upcoming World Championships, where the shooters will fine‑tune their form for the next big stage.
