Aeroflex Industries slipped 1.78% to ₹567.50 on Thursday, just after unveiling a ₹202 crore expansion plan aimed at cranking up annual revenue by ₹500‑550 crore. The capital outlay, set to complete by March‑2028, will upgrade the existing Taloja plant and launch a new hose‑assembly facility.
The company’s managing director, Asad Daud, cited surging demand from AI‑driven data centres and high‑density computing as the main catalyst. He noted that the expanded capacity—moving SS hose output from 20 million to 30 million metres—will support the projected revenue lift, while liquid‑cooling skid assembly volume will rise to 30,000 units.
Analysts at Kotak Mahindra Securities view the move as a strategic bet on the AI data‑centre boom. They flagged that the planned ₹202 crore spend is financed through a mix of equity, bridge loans and internal accruals, keeping debt levels in check. The expansion follows a prior upgrade that raised hose capacity to 20 million metres and cooling skid capacity to 12,000 units.
In the broader sector, stainless‑steel hose makers have seen modest growth, with peers reporting 12‑15% revenue gains. Aeroflex’s projected ₹500‑550 crore increment would translate to a 7‑8% lift in top‑line numbers, outpacing the industry average. The company’s current price‑to‑earnings ratio sits at 18.3x, a little above the sector median of 16.5x.
Looking ahead, Aeroflex will report FY‑2026 results next month. Management hinted at possible guidance revisions if the AI‑driven demand materialises faster than anticipated. Investors will be watching the Q4 earnings for early signs of the expansion’s impact on margins.
The stock’s 194.6% YTD gain reflects a broader rally in the manufacturing segment, driven by infrastructure and technology spending. With the expansion, Aeroflex aims to solidify its position as a key supplier to the growing data‑centre market.
