Noida Man Dies After Alleged Forced Leap From Third Floor

A man died in Noida after allegedly jumping from a third‑floor room, police said on Tuesday. The incident occurred at a house in Chaura Raghunathpur village, Sector‑24, and involved an alleged assault by the victim’s former girlfriend, Chanchal Rana, and her husband, Hitesh Rana.
Police say the victim visited the house with a female friend to apologise to Hitesh Rana. An argument erupted, and the couple allegedly beat the visitors with a hockey stick and locked them in a third‑floor room. The victim and the woman reportedly jumped from the room at about 3 a.m.
The victim suffered critical injuries and later died. The woman was taken to a Delhi hospital with serious injuries. Police arrested both Chanchal Rana and Hitesh Rana after questioning revealed they had assaulted the visitors.
Investigators are pursuing further legal action. The case is now under the local court’s jurisdiction, and the next hearing is scheduled for the following week.
