Unimech Aerospace & Manufacturing shares leapt 2.60% to ₹1,768.90 on the NSE after the firm disclosed a ₹39.36 crore investment in its Saudi joint venture.
The stake, worth SAR 15.3 million, forms half of the first ₹30 million tranche that will fund the new partnership with Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Company.
Unimech will hold a 51 % share of the JV, while YBAK retains 49 %. The full equity plan totals SAR 60 million (≈₹1.5 billion), spread over two tranches.
The facility, slated to start commercial production in early 2027, will manufacture precision components for Saudi Arabia’s oil and gas sector—a segment that saw a 4 % YoY rise in capital expenditure this year.
Anil Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director, said the investment marks a milestone in establishing a local manufacturing base in the Middle East and aims to tap emerging opportunities from Saudi’s industrial expansion.
With the first tranche completed, Unimech plans to raise a second ₹30 million tranche within the next six months, positioning the company to serve regional clients and potentially secure long‑term supply contracts.
