Andhra State-Run Schools Shine in SSC Exams

Four girls from Andhra's state-run schools have scored the highest marks in the SSC Public Examination, with Dulla Chinnari, Sirigineedi Rishitha Lakshmi Niharika, Bavireddy Divya Teja Sri, and Tanakanti Sai Sri each securing 596 out of 600 marks. The students, from different districts in Andhra Pradesh, have been congratulated by their families, teachers, and government officials.
The government's decision to publish a full front-page advertisement featuring photographs of 13 toppers from state-run schools has been widely appreciated, with many seeing it as a move to promote these institutions and recognize the achievements of their students.
According to Principal Secretary (Education) Kona Sasidhar, the government's AP Model of Education initiative, which includes a structured 100-day action plan and bilingual study materials, has contributed to the improvement in results. The overall pass percentage in government schools has increased from 72.8% to 78.39%, with girls outperforming boys by 5.22%.
The immediate next steps include the continuation of the AP Model of Education initiative, with the government planning to build on the success of the current year's results. The Education Department will also provide further support to students, including free model papers and question banks, to help them prepare for future exams.
