Jio Platforms' IPO attracted record‑breaking subscription, reflecting strong investor confidence in the telecom sector.
Arun Kejriwal, a market expert, said the company’s technology investments and expanding subscriber base provide a foundation for long‑term growth, even as the industry remains largely a duopoly.
Kejriwal highlighted that Jio continues to gain market share while investing in next‑generation technologies, positioning itself ahead of incumbents like Airtel.
He noted that the valuation gap narrows after factoring in the grey‑market premium, signalling potential close competition over the next few years.
Kejriwal added that government oversight is likely to cap tariff increases to 15% this year, supporting stable pricing within the duopoly.
Going forward, Jio Platforms will list on NSE/BSE soon; analysts expect the firm to maintain aggressive capital deployment and pursue 5G/6G expansion, sustaining its competitive edge.
