
Poonawalla Fincorp’s Q2FY27 net profit leapt to ₹374.8 crore, a 406.5% rise from ₹74 crore a year earlier, and the shares finished at ₹448 on the BSE, up 9.80 rupees or 2.24%.
Net interest income (NII) climbed 75.7% YoY to ₹1,589 crore from ₹905 crore, while the company disbursed ₹577 crore in personal loans during the quarter, a 7.4% increase over Q1FY27.
Asset‑quality metrics improved: gross NPA fell 39 bps YoY to 1.20%, and the return on assets rose to 2.18%, up 149 bps YoY. Capital adequacy stood at 18.68% and leverage at 4.30×, signalling a solid balance‑sheet base.
Looking ahead, Poonawalla aims to grow its ₹74,008‑cr AUM at a 35‑40% CAGR and is reportedly eyeing a ₹5,000‑cr Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP). The strong earnings run may keep the stock in a bullish lane for the next quarter, pending the QIP and macro‑financial conditions.
