Trisha Krishnan attended the oath-taking ceremony of Vijay, who was sworn in as the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu at Chennai's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Sunday. Vijay's party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, secured 118 seats in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections and he is set to assume office with support from Congress, CPI, CPI(M), VCK, and IUML.
Trisha shared a series of photos from the ceremony on social media, where she wore a seafoam-green saree and styled her hair in a neatly tied bun. Her caption, 'The love is always louder', grabbed attention amid speculation about her relationship with Vijay.
Vijay's parents, Director S. A. Chandrasekhar and Sobha Chandrasekhar, expressed their happiness ahead of the swearing-in ceremony, with Sobha describing the moment as emotional as it coincides with Mother's Day.
The formation of TVK's first government marks a significant shift in Tamil Nadu's political landscape, with Vijay becoming the first leader outside the DMK and AIADMK alliances to head the government since 1967. The Tamil Nadu Governor has asked Vijay to prove his majority in the Assembly before May 13.
The court will resume hearing on the formation of the new government, and Vijay is expected to announce his cabinet soon.
