Aegis Logistics shares slid 4.1% to ₹1,391 on Tuesday after the company disclosed its $809 million acquisition of Tristar Holdings.
The deal, executed through Aegis Logistics International Pte, covers 89.9% of Tristar and is pending regulatory clearance, with completion slated for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year.
Tristar, founded in 1998 and headquartered in Dubai, generated $1.4 billion in revenue, $257 million in EBITDA and $82 million in net profit for FY 2025, operating in more than 30 countries across liquid logistics.
Raj Chandaria, Aegis chairman and managing director, said the acquisition will transform the firm from a domestic operator into a global energy‑logistics platform, expecting immediate profitability contributions and long‑term strategic gains. Tristar Group CEO Eugene Mayne added that the partnership creates opportunities to expand reach and strengthen market position.
Analysts note the move positions Aegis alongside peers like GAIL and Oil India, potentially boosting its revenue mix and margin profile; the company will report Q4 results on November 15, with guidance expected to reflect the integration impact.
