Shooting. Two men on a motorcycle opened fire at Tiger Shroff’s sedan in Mumbai’s Juhu district on Oct. 18, striking the vehicle with five to six bullets. The actor’s driver and a passer‑by were wounded, while Shroff escaped with minor bruises.
The gunmen, tied to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, had spent a month surveilling high‑profile residences, including Aamir Khan’s Bandra home, before abandoning a plan to target Salman Khan after noting his fortified compound.
Mumbai Police named Anil Pandit, a known associate of the gang, as the man who posted a confession on social media about the attack. Police also highlighted the gang’s alleged overseas links.
Eleven suspects have been arrested across Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana. The investigation will examine viral audio that alleges the actors’ personal lives and the gang’s motives.
The incident has intensified calls for tighter security for Bollywood stars. Shroff, who was injured, urged authorities to revisit safety protocols after feeling vulnerable during the shooting.
Police will announce the next steps in a court hearing scheduled for early November, while investigators continue to scrutinize the gang’s trans‑national connections.
