ACME Solar Holdings Ltd unveiled an extra 17.91 MW of battery storage at its Rajasthan project, bringing the subsidiary’s capacity to 71.64 MW.
The 74.323 MWh addition sits within a 250 MW/1,069 MWh firm and dispatchable renewable energy scheme at Neemri village, Rawatbhata tehsil, Chittorgarh district. The project’s total planned storage is 250 MW, with a discharge capacity of 1,069 MWh.
Industry analysts note that battery expansions are a key driver of renewable reliability, and ACME’s move aligns with the broader push for dispatchable solar assets in India.
Commercial operations for the new capacity are slated for Oct 25, and the company anticipates the enhanced storage will smooth supply and potentially reduce curtailment. ACME will monitor performance post‑launch and may publish operational metrics in the next quarterly filing.
The project complies with state energy policies and taps into Rajasthan’s growing renewable portfolio, positioning ACME as a competitive player in the battery storage space.
