Tamil Nadu MLAs Take Oath in 17th Legislative Assembly

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay took oath as a legislator in the 17th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly on Monday, along with other newly elected MLAs, including Ministers N. Anand, Aadhav Arjuna, and Leader of the Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin. The pro-tem Speaker Karuppiah administered the oath.
Except S. Keerthana, several Ministers took oath in the House, including K.G. Arunraj, K.A. Sengottaiyan, P. Venkataramanan, R. Nirmalkumar, Rajmohan, and T.K. Prabhu.
Former Chief Ministers Edappadi K. Palaniswami and O. Panneerselvam also took oath as legislators of the 17th Tamil Nadu Assembly.
After taking oath, the newly-elected members signed in the Assembly register. The other members are taking oath now.
The Assembly will likely proceed with its scheduled business after the completion of the oath-taking ceremony, with the next steps expected to be announced by the pro-tem Speaker.
