Jio Platforms Limited announced a price band of ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 per equity share, with subscription opening on Wednesday, 21 Oct, and closing on Friday, 23 Oct. Anchor‑investor bidding will begin on Monday, 19 Oct, as per the IPO Committee’s filing.
The company cited a 53‑crore customer base, underscoring its scale in the telecom and broadband arena. This figure represents the largest unified user reach in India’s digital ecosystem.
At a press conference in Mumbai, Uday Kotak, founder of Kotak Mahindra Bank, hailed Jio as a “defining force in India’s digital transformation.” He noted that the IPO pricing followed extensive investor consultations and aims to attract long‑term investors.
Kotak highlighted that Jio’s proprietary technology spans the entire connectivity stack, positioning it uniquely against global peers. He linked the IPO to Reliance’s ambition to become India’s largest listed conglomerate by market capitalisation.
Market watchers anticipate that the listing will boost Reliance’s market cap, potentially reshaping the telecom sector’s competitive landscape. Analysts will also gauge subscription demand against the ₹1,065–₹1,119 range.
The company’s forward‑looking guidance will likely focus on sustaining its customer growth trajectory and leveraging its digital platform to expand into new services post‑listing.
