Nandyal Member of Parliament Byreddy Shabari declared that Dalits and Christians receive protection and justice only under Telugu Desam Party rule during a 'Dalit and Christian Garjana' rally in Nandyal on Saturday. She pledged to raise the communities' legitimate demands with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and secure resolutions.
Shabari credited late TDP founder Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao with eradicating untouchability and providing Dalits land and housing, and said the establishment of the Scheduled Castes Commission was a TDP initiative. She asserted that Naidu has consistently worked for Dalit and Christian upliftment in both united Andhra Pradesh and the post-bifurcation state.
The MP inaugurated cement roads worth ₹25 lakh in Nehru Nagar village of Pagidyala mandal and took part in flagstaff and idol consecration ceremonies at two Sri Abhayanjaneya Swamy temples. She highlighted ongoing public benefits from infrastructure projects like check dams and water tanks built during her father Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy's tenure as MLA.
Shabari reiterated that comprehensive development in the region depends on Naidu's leadership, aligning current governance with past TDP policies. The party is expected to continue outreach efforts ahead of upcoming state elections.
