Ryan Williams scored in the 38th minute to give Bengaluru FC a 1-0 victory over Jamshedpur FC in their Indian Super League match at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur on Saturday. Williams converted a headed pass from Lalremtluanga Fanai with a low shot that slipped past goalkeeper Albino Gomes at the near post.
The win moved Bengaluru FC to 20 points, placing them fourth in the ISL table and level with league leaders Jamshedpur FC, Mohun Bagan, and East Bengal. Jamshedpur FC missed the opportunity to claim sole possession of the top spot, while Mohun Bagan Super Giant was held to a 1-1 draw by FC Goa in Margao.
Jamshedpur defender Pratik Chaudhari made two key defensive blocks but had a goal disallowed. Bengaluru head coach Pep Munoz recorded his first win since taking charge. Both Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC have one match remaining, while Mohun Bagan and East Bengal each have three games in hand.
The league standings remain tight ahead of the final matchweek, with multiple teams still in contention for the top position. The ISL season concludes next week, with the final fixtures set to determine the table toppers.
