Andhra Pradesh Mahila Commission chairperson Rayapati Sailaja distributed artificial limbs and callipers to 90 beneficiaries in Vijayawada on Saturday, with the items donated by the Sudeekshan Foundation. The distribution was aimed at supporting accident survivors and people with disabilities.
The Sudeekshan Foundation, founded by Chigurupati Vimala, has been sponsoring limbs and callipers for the past 19 years, helping around 200 beneficiaries every year through donation camps organized over a period of six months.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the foundation and the Mahila Commission for their support.
The Andhra Pradesh Mahila Commission and the Sudeekshan Foundation will continue to work together to support people with disabilities, with further initiatives expected in the coming months. The commission will also explore other opportunities to collaborate with organizations and donors to provide assistance to those in need.
