Murali Sreeshankar won the gold in men's long jump with a 8.04m effort at the Indian Athletics Series-6, held at the Nehru Stadium on Sunday. Tejas Shirse clocked 13.43 seconds in the 110m hurdles, just 0.02 seconds shy of his National record.
Tejas Shirse, recovering from an ankle injury, was pleased with his performance, stating that he had trained for just three weeks and considered his time a great achievement.
Other notable performances included Adarsh Ram's 2.27m win in the men's high jump and Abhishek Pal's 13:57.01 time in the 5000m.
The event served as a platform for athletes to assess their preparedness for the big events, with several achieving qualification marks for the forthcoming 2026 Commonwealth Games and Asian Games.
