The Punjab Congress, led by General Secretary Bhupesh Baghel, announced plans to release a 'chargesheet' against the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, alleging widespread corruption and a deteriorating law and order situation in the state. The decision was made during a meeting of senior party leaders, which discussed the dire state of affairs in Punjab, with Baghel stating that people feel insecure due to corruption and lawlessness.
The party will hold three-day 'yatras' in all 117 Assembly segments across the state to engage with people and understand their issues.
Baghel held both the state and central governments responsible for the recent series of bomb blasts in Punjab, saying they are equally accountable for ensuring public safety.
The Punjab Congress will resume its outreach efforts in the coming days, with the 'chargesheet' release expected to be a key part of its campaign ahead of the 2027 Assembly election.
