Kerala's Left Democratic Front Vows to Regain Public Trust After Election Setback

Pinarayi Vijayan, a Polit Bureau member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), stated that the Left Democratic Front will conduct an open examination of the election results and make necessary corrections to regain public trust. The alliance suffered a significant defeat in the Kerala Assembly elections, which Vijayan attributed to an environment created by opposing forces, including the UDF, BJP, and certain media sections.
The Left Democratic Front will pressurize the new government to implement policies initiated by the previous LDF government, including those for extreme poverty eradication and women empowerment.
Vijayan also expressed concern over the BJP's win in three seats, stating that the Left would continue to take an uncompromising stance against communalism.
The Left will be a responsible opposition, supporting the new government's actions that benefit the people while opposing anti-people policies. The court is not involved in this matter, but the new government is expected to begin its term soon, with the Left Democratic Front planning to hold the government accountable for its actions.
