The contrast is jarring. In one clip, Tiger Shroff is casually signing autographs, kicking a ball, and chatting with fans at a Juhu turf. In the next, his car is a target for three men on a motorcycle. The video, recorded around 6 pm on Sunday, captures a moment of normalcy that makes the violence that followed feel even more surreal. It’s a snapshot of a routine evening that ended with sirens instead of applause.
The attack happened around 7 pm as Tiger was leaving Pushpa Park. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohit Garg, three unidentified men arrived on a bike and opened fire. Tiger escaped unscathed, but the cost was paid by his entourage. His driver, Firdous, and a staff member, Umesh Chavan, were both hit. Firdous suffered minor injuries and is out of danger, while Chavan is undergoing treatment for a bullet wound.
Mumbai Police have moved fast, deploying 15 teams to hunt down the shooters. Investigators are currently combing through CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to identify the men and establish a motive. The timing of the attack—right after a public appearance—has raised questions about whether the attackers were lurking in the crowd before the shooting began. For now, the focus remains on securing the area and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
This incident adds a grim chapter to a growing list of violent attacks on Bollywood personalities. From the 1997 killing of Gulshan Kumar to the 2024 shooting outside Salman Khan’s home, the industry has seen its fair share of threats. Each time, the response is the same: police deploy teams, cameras are checked, and the public is left wondering how a star’s personal safety is being compromised in such a public space.
