Kerala to Experience Continued Summer Showers Amidst Forming Weather Systems

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that an upper air cyclonic circulation lies over the southeast Arabian Sea and adjoining Lakshadweep off the Kerala coast, and another over the Comorin area.

Under the influence of these systems, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the southwest Bay of Bengal around May 11, leading to continued summer showers in Kerala.

A yellow alert has been issued for seven districts in Kerala, including Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, and Ernakulam, warning of isolated heavy rains on Sunday.

The weather systems are expected to bring thunderstorms to the state for the next four days.

The Kerala government and local authorities are likely to monitor the situation closely, with further updates and warnings expected in the coming days.
