Goyal said another six to eight negotiations are underway with economies totaling $15 trillion, potentially raising coverage to 75–80% of the world’s economies.
During his Chicago visit, Goyal met leaders of Archer Daniels Midland, Aon and other US firms, urging them to tap India’s $4 trillion market and its projected $30 trillion economy by 2047.
India’s next step is to conclude the pending agreements by September, after which the government will launch a coordinated investment drive to attract foreign capital and technology.
