AAP Accuses BJP of Disturbing Peace in Punjab
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the recent bomb blasts in Punjab’s Jalandhar and Amritsar, stating that the incidents are part of the BJP’s electoral strategy in Punjab. AAP MP Sanjay Singh asserted that the BJP is attempting to disturb peace, spread hatred, and create divisions through violence in the state.
The senior AAP leader alleged that the BJP shares deep ties with the Pakistan Intelligence Services (ISI) and uses it to engineer bomb blasts and disturb peace in the country. He cited the examples of the Pulwama attack, the Pahalgam incident, and the Pathankot terror attack, questioning the BJP's role in these incidents.
Sanjay Singh warned that the people of Punjab would give a strong response to any attempt to disrupt the state’s peace and that the AAP would expose the BJP's collusive relationship with the ISI.
The AAP's attack on the BJP comes amid the party's efforts to expand its presence in Punjab, with the state set to go to polls in the near future. The BJP has denied the AAP's allegations, but the issue is likely to escalate into a major political controversy in the state. The Punjab police have launched an investigation into the bomb blasts, and the state government has assured that it would take all necessary measures to maintain law and order.
