IMD Forecasts Isolated Light Showers in Andhra Pradesh Until May 14
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast isolated light showers, thunderstorms, and lightning in all three regions of Andhra Pradesh until May 14. Gusty winds, with a speed reaching 40 kmph to 50 kmph, are also likely to blow in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema regions.
The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has identified districts that may experience light rains and thunderstorms, including Alluri Sitharama Raju, Polavaram, and East Godavari.
Temperatures have come down in the state after the change in weather, with the day's highest temperature of 41.7°C recorded at VR Puram in Polavaram district.
Farmers, labourers, and cattle herders working in fields have been warned against standing under trees during thunderstorms. The IMD will continue to monitor the weather situation, and the public is advised to stay informed about the latest forecast. The APSDMA will also provide updates on the weather conditions and any necessary precautions.
