Koruvada Farmers Seek Land Record Correction After Resurvey Error

Farmers in Koruvada village, Anakapalli district, have sought correction of land records after the Jagananna resurvey allegedly classified their long-held patta lands as inam, despite documented cultivation over 50 years. Eight farmers cultivating 1.64 cents in Survey No. 327/4 said their ownership was incorrectly altered during the resurvey process.
They raised the issue during the State government's 'One Village, One Month, Four Visits' programme, noting that only Revenue officials attended the village meeting, while Rural Development and Irrigation department representatives were absent. The farmers said they had filed a formal complaint via the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS ID: ANPL202602236564), and the Village Revenue Officer conducted an inquiry, but no corrective action has been taken.
Representatives including Govinda Rao and M. Ravanamma submitted a written petition to the Tahsildar demanding resolution. They argue their pattas and cultivation records validate their claim and request urgent rectification of the records.
The Tahsildar's office has received the petition and is expected to review the inquiry findings and PGRS complaint before deciding on corrective measures.
