The list, published for 2027, also names Afghanistan, The Bahamas, Belize, Bolivia and several other nations; the Department clarified that inclusion hinges on geographic and economic factors rather than government failure.

Trump highlighted domestic gains, noting a more than 50% drop in drug seizures at the southern border and a decline in overdose deaths, while declaring record seizures by U.S. agencies.
