Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid rich tributes to Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore on his birth anniversary, describing him as an exceptional philosopher, educationist, artist, and a timeless voice of India's civilisational soul.
Modi said Tagore enriched society with new thoughts, creative energy, and cultural confidence, and expressed gratitude for his contributions.
Other Indian leaders, including former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, also paid tributes to Tagore, praising his philosophy, literature, and humanitarian ideals.
The leaders quoted from Tagore's works and expressed hope that his ideals would continue to inspire and guide people.
The court will not resume hearing on this matter as it is a tribute, however, the Indian government and cultural institutions are expected to organize various events and ceremonies to commemorate Tagore's birth anniversary.
