Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hand out 51,000 appointment letters to newly selected youth at 45 Rozgar Mela fairs across India on Saturday. The distribution is part of a larger employment strategy.
The 20th Rozgar Mela, part of the government's employment push, has already seen 12.75 lakh recruits join ministries such as Revenue, Railways, Home Affairs, Health and Family Welfare, Financial Services and Defence. The event underscores the Centre’s focus on youth employment.
Candidates will be posted to ministries and departments across the central government, with the letters promising roles ranging from clerical to administrative positions. This move aims to fill vacancies in key departments.
Modi will also address the recruits virtually, telling them that the nation counts on their energy to drive development. The address is expected to inspire the new employees.
The ceremony is set to begin at 10 a.m. in New Delhi, after which the newly appointed staff will be ushered into their departments for orientation.
