Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday alleged that an All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) corporator, Mateen Majid Patel, had a hand in hiding Nida Khan, accused in the Nashik TCS case. Fadnavis said the investigation is underway and all angles will be examined to uncover those behind the alleged conspiracy.
AIMIM leader Imtiaz Jaleel reacted to the developments, stating that he would seek details from the police and emphasized the principle of law, noting that the accused has every right to bail unless a crime has been proven.
Nida Khan's anticipatory bail was rejected by a court, and she has been remanded to police custody till Monday. According to Advocate Milind Kurkute, the complainant's lawyer, Khan was arrested after her anticipatory bail plea was rejected, and the court granted limited custody.
The Nashik Police Commissioner, Sandeep Karnik, said that Khan was taken into custody from the Naregao area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar after a two-day operation. The case involves alleged sexual harassment and hurting the religious sentiments of certain employees in the Nashik office of TCS.
The court will continue to hear the case, with the next steps expected to involve further investigation and potential legal action against those involved in the alleged conspiracy.
