The Prakasam district administration has intensified efforts to resolve claims of lands incorrectly classified under Section 22A of the Andhra Pradesh Johnny Act. District Revenue Officer B. Chinna Obulesu confirmed that 591 applications have been received from landowners across three revenue divisions, alleging erroneous inclusion in the prohibited list.
He stated that, on the instructions of District Collector P. Raja Babu, a weekly verification process is being conducted at the Collectorate involving Tahsildars, Revenue Divisional Officers, and Sub-Collectors. Land records are being consolidated at district headquarters for scrutiny, with officials confirming that corrections will be made following due verification.
The administration has committed to resolving all pending applications promptly, ensuring no undue hardship to affected landowners. The verification process will continue until all claims are reviewed and rectified, officials said.
