Pal Singh, 73, Arrested in California Over Alleged Sexual Assaults of Four Clients

Selma police arrested 73-year-old Pal Singh on September 8, charging him with four felony counts of sexual assault. The allegations, detailed in court records obtained by ABC30, involve four separate victims and incidents that allegedly occurred between June 2023 and July 2025. Singh was taken into custody while operating an unlicensed chiropractic practice from his residence, where he provided treatment services to a growing base of clients.

The arrests followed years of complaints. Selma Police Commander Tim Cannon told ABC30 that investigators began working the case after receiving multiple reports of inappropriate touching at Singh's location. "We had multiple complaints from clients about inappropriate touching that was going on at the location, and we were finally able to make an arrest in that case," Cannon said. Police have not publicly detailed the specific medical or healing issues each victim sought to address, but they note the suspects used the setting of a treatment appointment to allegedly commit the assaults.

Singh had built a reputation that drew patients from far beyond Selma. Known within the local Sikh community as a "healer," he reportedly attracted clients who traveled from other parts of California and even Canada to receive his services. Online reviews cited by ABC30 highlighted the long distances some clients were willing to travel. Neighbors also told the outlet they regularly saw families arriving at his residence for appointments, while his social media accounts featured photographs and videos of these sessions.

His attorney, Eddie Ruiz, has pushed back on the characterization of Singh's work. In court filings, Ruiz stated that Singh, who served as a Sikh priest in India before moving to California, later trained in acupressure in India and completed additional online training after relocating. Ruiz argued that Singh wished to continue working, support his family, and assist with his defense. Singh has pleaded not guilty to all four charges and was released on bail several days after his arrest.

The investigation is far from over. Cannon said authorities believe there could be additional victims who have not yet contacted police, noting that some potential victims may live outside Fresno County. Investigators have also received secondhand information about possible additional victims who have not come forward. Singh's next court appearance is scheduled for October 27.
