The market reaction was sharp but short-lived. Landmark Cars (BSE: 543279 / NSE: LANDMARK) jumped as much as 12% to touch an intraday high of ₹509 after releasing its Q2 business update. That was the biggest single-day gain since July 14, 2026, when the stock had previously surged 17.4%. But by the close, profit-booking had trimmed the move significantly, leaving the stock 3.1% higher at ₹469. It’s worth noting the stock briefly turned positive on a year-to-date basis during that intraday spike.
The numbers behind the move are solid, though. According to the exchange filing, total revenue climbed 17.3% to ₹1,943 crore in the September quarter, up from ₹1,657 crore in the same period last year. Vehicle sales specifically rose 18.5% to ₹1,662 crore from ₹1,403 crore. Management flagged these as the highest-ever quarterly and half-yearly revenues on a proforma basis, attributing the lift to outlet ramp-up and stabilization.
Looking ahead, the company is betting big on the festive season. It expects to enter the second half of FY2027 on a strong footing, bolstered by partner OEMs pushing new launches in the premium, luxury, and EV segments. Recent models like the Kia Sorento, MG Hector Tomahawk, and BYD Sealion 7 Dynamic are set to commence full-scale deliveries starting October. This pipeline is critical for sustaining the momentum seen in Q2.
The next quarter looks just as busy. Key launches on the horizon include the India-made Mercedes-Benz GLC EV and new models from BYD’s luxury brand. For traders watching the NSE/BSE ticker, the focus now shifts to whether these high-value deliveries can convert into consistent margin expansion, or if the stock will continue to see the volatile, spike-and-fade pattern that characterized its recent price action.
