Mick Foley pulled a crowd‑sized trick at the '40 Years of Foley' tour, turning every tee into a fundraiser and piling up a hefty $40,000 for the Cauliflower Alley Club.
The nightly auction began with a modest £900 bid in Birmingham — over a thousand dollars at exchange rate — but two bidders walked away unpaid, sparking a scramble that saw fans fill the gap with $600, then two men donating a combined $1,000.
The club, which has already disbursed over a million dollars to wrestlers in hardship, says Foley's haul will cushion the next wave of medical bills and living expenses for independent performers who often lack insurance.
Foley’s generosity isn’t a one‑off. He’s also a Make‑A‑Wish ambassador, a key donor to Child Fund International, and a vocal advocate in the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network, a fact that earned him the Frank Gotch Award from the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2010.
With the UK leg wrapped, Foley is heading back to the States for the summer leg of his tour, promising that every shirt sold will keep the Benevolent Fund humming.
