Satish Salian to visit Aaditya Thackeray’s Mumbai home at 4 pm Saturday

Satish Salian will be at Aaditya Thackeray’s Mumbai residence at 4 pm on Saturday to deliver a defamation notice, ANI reports, after his lawyer faced threats that could curtail legal practice.

The notice is part of a fresh CBI probe that began on 14 September following a Bombay High Court directive, after the death of Disha Salian in June 2020 when she fell from a building in Mumbai and was initially ruled accidental.

Aaditya Thackeray posted on X that he had never met Disha Salian and called the repeated linkage of his name an evidence‑free attempt at character assassination, insisting the investigation proceed without political distractions.

Satish Salian warned that his lawyer’s threats were part of a broader intimidation effort, and said he would show the ‘power of the common man’ by serving the notice; if Thackeray’s office refuses, the notice will be filed in court.

The FIR names Thackeray, Rohan Roy, Rhea Chakraborty, Param Bir Singh, Dino Morea, Sooraj Pancholi, former DCP Vishal Thakur, the Malwani police PI, SIT members, a doctor and a chemical analyst, underscoring the case’s wide reach.

If Thackeray’s office does not accept the notice, the matter will proceed to the court, where the CBI’s findings and the alleged defamation will be adjudicated.
