Kozhikode police have arrested three men and seized 1.01 kilograms of suspected MDMA from a vehicle during a joint operation at Pantheerankavu early Saturday (May 9). The suspects were apprehended near Capkon City around 1 a.m. by the District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force and the Pantheerankavu police unit.The accused have been identified as Mohammed Harshalal, 25, from Kurunthala in Malappuram; Aadil Sha, 20, from Ramanattukara, Kozhikode; and Mohammed Farhan, 22, from Aikkarappady in Malappuram. Police recovered the suspected drug from the car in which the three were traveling.The operation marks one of several recent narcotics seizures in the region, following the recovery of nearly three kilograms of suspected MDMA from Mukkam in Kozhikode district last month. Authorities have initiated further investigation into the drug network linked to the suspects.Forensic examination of the seized substance is underway to confirm its composition, and the suspects are in judicial custody pending further questioning. The investigating team will file a chargesheet in the coming days.
