Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay Asserts Control, Unveils Cabinet

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, who took oath after four days of political developments, has asserted his control, stating that there will be no power center other than him. He thanked DMK allies, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, for their support in forming the government.

Vijay introduced himself as 'Thambi' and sent a message to his rivals, warning against any attempts to destabilize the government. He also referred to himself as 'mama', saying he is a common man and not an angel, and promised to fulfill his promises without touching citizens' money.

Vijay's cabinet includes nine TVK leaders, with prominent faces such as KA Sengottaiyan, Aadhav Arjuna, and Raj Mohan taking oath. Congress, CPI(M), VCK, and IUML leaders who supported the TVK government may take oath later after portfolio discussions.

The Chief Minister's address and cabinet composition are seen as key steps in establishing his government's stability and direction. The immediate next steps will involve portfolio allocations and the swearing-in of remaining ministers, with the government expected to resume its official duties shortly.
