Tamil Nadu: TVK Cadre Stages Solo Protest Near Lok Bhavan

A Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party cadre staged a solo protest near Lok Bhavan in Chennai on Friday, demanding that Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Viswanath Arlekar invite party leader C. Joseph Vijay to form the government in the state without delay. The protester, identified as Suresh, an assistant of film director S.A. Chandrasekar, was apprehended by police and sent away after being warned not to protest in the area without permission.
The protest occurred around 11 am, with Suresh arriving at the location in an auto and carrying a placard. Media personnel and police were quickly on the scene, with police taking control of the situation and issuing a warning to the protester.
The police action was taken as Lok Bhavan is a prohibited area for protests without prior permission. The incident highlights the ongoing political developments in Tamil Nadu following the recent assembly elections.
The Tamil Nadu government formation process is ongoing, with various parties and leaders vying for power. The immediate next steps in the government formation process are expected to be announced in the coming days, with the Governor's office likely to play a key role in the developments.
