The Pleiades-26 techno cultural festival commenced on Friday at the BVB Campus in Hubballi, with hundreds of students from various technical institutions participating in the event. The festival was formally launched by Col. Rajiv Bhargava, who unveiled the festival banner and released balloons bearing the Pleiades plaque into the air.
The inaugural day featured various competitions and workshops conducted simultaneously at different venues, including an immersive textile art installation titled Threadscape. Aman Gupta, co-founder of boAt and OffBeat Studios, delivered a Spotlight Talk at the Dr. Prabhakar Kore Sports Arena, sharing his entrepreneurship journey and the importance of customer connect.
Col. Bhargava also conducted a sprint session titled “Storytelling: Crafting Ideas that Inspire, Influence & Impact”, guiding students on the art and science of impactful communication.
The festival will conclude on the evening of Sunday, with various teams set to perform and showcase their cultural heritage. The university's Vice-Chancellor Prakash Tewari and other dignitaries were present at the inaugural event, which is expected to continue with enthusiasm and participation from the students.
