PM Modi to Visit Hyderabad, Inaugurate Projects Worth Rs 7,823 Crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Hyderabad on May 10, inaugurating and laying foundation stones for infrastructure, industrial, healthcare, and energy projects valued at approximately Rs 7,823 crore. The visit marks his first to Telangana since his re-election in 2024 and underscores the central government's development push in the state.
Modi will lay the foundation stone for a Rs 2,360 crore integrated industrial smart city at Zaheerabad under the Hyderabad-Nagpur Industrial Corridor and inaugurate the Rs 1,695 crore PM MITRA Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in Warangal, expected to draw over Rs 6,000 crore in investments. He will also commission a modern petroleum storage terminal in Hyderabad and the third railway line between Kazipet and Vijayawada, built at a cost of Rs 1,243 crore, while launching National Highway projects worth Rs 3,175 crore in Mahabubnagar virtually.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate Sindhu Hospital in HITEC City and meet medical professionals before addressing a public rally at Secunderabad's Parade Grounds, organized by the Telangana BJP. The party has mobilized around 200,000 people, arranged four special trains and 3,000 RTC buses, signaling a major political outreach ahead of the upcoming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections.
Telangana police have heightened security across Hyderabad, imposing drone and aerial vehicle restrictions in key areas including Begumpet, Madhapur, and Secunderabad. The state government has deployed additional personnel to manage traffic and ensure security during the visit.
The Prime Minister's office confirmed the schedule, stating that the projects aim to boost industrial growth, connectivity, and healthcare capacity in Telangana. The BJP state unit will assess public response from the rally as part of its strategy for the GHMC polls.
