Police in Sanjay Camp, Chanakyapuri, arrested a 39‑year‑old Delhi woman, known as Pinki, on Wednesday, after a foot patrol discovered her 14‑year‑old son holding six pouches of suspected marijuana.
The boy admitted that the pouches were given by his mother for sale, prompting a search of a nearby location that yielded 37 additional pouches, bringing the total to 43.
Field tests confirmed the substance as a narcotic; all 43 pouches were seized and sealed.
The police said Pinki has been involved in two previous NDPS cases and was apprehended for a third time this year.
A formal case has been registered under the NDPS Act and the Juvenile Justice Act, with investigators still probing the extent of the network.
The next step will be filing charges in the Delhi Narcotics Court, where the case is expected to be heard in the coming weeks.
